Terms of Service

FishDex is a mobile application and website that allows users to photograph fish catches, manually select species from a rich field-guide encyclopedia, and maintain a personal fishing logbook and species collection. The service is operated by Park Taejun ("we", "us"; email: puze8681@gmail.com).

FishDex is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using FishDex you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to use the service.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow others to access your account.

4.1 Ownership: You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload to FishDex.

4.2 Licence grant: By uploading content you grant FishDex a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and process your content for the purpose of operating the service.

4.3 Prohibited content:

• Photos of fish taken by another person without their consent
• Content depicting illegal catch activities (e.g., protected species, catches during closed seasons, below minimum size limits)
• Content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or violates third-party rights

4.4 Reporting and moderation: Users may report content that violates these rules. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

Fishing season, size limit, and bag limit information displayed in FishDex is for reference only and may be outdated or incomplete. Always verify current fishing regulations with the relevant official authority before fishing.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile settings screen in the app. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

FishDex displays in-app advertisements in the mobile app via Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats. Ad serving is subject to your consent and device settings.

FishDex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FishDex and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Korean courts.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date.
