Black Seabream

About this species

A wary, silver-gray bream that is one of Korea's most beloved lure and float-fishing targets. It roams rocky shores, harbors and estuaries, crushing crabs, shellfish and worms. Float rigs with shrimp and light lure fishing around structure demand finesse and patience.

Distinguished from red seabream (Pagrus major) by its dark silver-gray rather than pink body and different body proportions; from yellowfin bream by geographic range.
