About this species
A mottled, bottom-hugging greenling common on Korean rocky and mixed coastal bottoms, a reliable shore-fishing catch. It feeds on worms, crustaceans and small fish among rocks and seaweed. Bottom bait rigs with worms and small soft lures worked near structure are effective.

Similar Species
Spotty-bellied greenling (Hexagrammos agrammus, noraeumi) is very similar but smaller and darker, usually found in shallower, weedier areas.
