About this species
A powerful, migratory gamefish of the US Atlantic coast, striped along its silver flanks. It herds baitfish in the surf, estuaries and around rocky structure, feeding hardest at dawn and dusk. Live eels, bucktail jigs and topwater plugs are proven producers.

Similar Species
Seven or eight continuous horizontal stripes along the silver body distinguish striped bass from white perch and hybrid striped bass.
